Mary Budden Estate is located in the middle Himalayas, just north of Almora in Uttaranchal. One of only five privately owned estates in the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, the Estate has been carefully restored with consideration for the environment.

The nearest railway station is at Kathgodam, 120 km away from Binsar. List of trains from Delhi to Kathgodam: Ranikhet Express (daily), Anand Vihar-Kathgodam AC Express (thrice a week from Ghaziabad), Uttarakhand Sampark Kranti Express (daily). And you can hire a taxi for the 4 hour drive through the hills to Binsar. Binsar is well connected by roads to all prominent towns: Almora (34 km), Nainital (120 km) and Delhi (418 km).
From Delhi: take NH24 to Rampur via the Hapur and Moradabad bypasses, then NH87 to Kathgodam via Rudrapur. Then take the state highway to Almora via Bhimtal, Bhowali, Kherna to Almora on to Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. It takes approximately 9 and a half hours if one leaves early, at around 5 am.
You can stagger your journey by spending a weekend at Corbett National Park or by driving via Ranikhet to Binsar or by driving via Jeolikote Or stopping over at Dhana chuli on the way to Binsar.
If you are arriving by helicopter we can organise a car pick-up from the closest landing point – inside the premises of a school which is 30 minutes away. Prior permission for landing needs to be organised. The helicopter flight takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Delhi to Almora.
Pantnagar, near Kathgodam is the closest airport. It is 155 km from the estate.
